Raspberry jam?!
Does anyone have a recipe for raspberry jam!? (the boiled kind, not the jellied kind!.) I've been using search engines and am just looking for variety!.
also, is it necessary to seal the jars with wax!? I use the standard Mason jars with the rubber seal, and fill them right to the top for a strong seal, yet I still see recipes calling for wax discs!. Any thought on this!? Thanks in advance!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I've been canning for about 30 years, off and on though mostly on, and I would not consider using wax any longer!. the rubber seal lids are cheap enough and much better I believe!.
sorry about not having a recipe to share for the jam,,, I have looked through my books and it just is not in thereWww@FoodAQ@Com

We just cut a waxed paper disc and put it on top of the jam before sealing it with a lid or a transparent disc which we buy & wet and hold in place with a rubber band!. Some jam has lasted a year like that!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

When you buy the Certo pectin, the jam recipes are on the inside label!. It's the one I use every year so I don't keep a recipe!. I don't use wax, it's not necessary!. I also don't use those rubber seal jars anymore; the new ones are better and less fuss!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
There are a few jams here but at the bottom I found some hints in making jams, might help!?
