1950's Style Meatloaf
1-1/2 pounds ground beef (chuck is best)
1/2 pound ground pork sausage (seasoned or not)
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1 cup fine bread crumbs
1 large clove of garlic, pressed
1/2 cup minced sweet onion
1/4 cup minced green bell pepper
1 tsp dried oregano, crushed
1 teaspoon kosher salt
Freshly ground pepper to taste
1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 package dry Lipton's Onion Soup mix
1/2 cup milk
1 (6-ounce) can tomato paste, divided use
2 to 4 strips bacon, cut in half (optional)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees!. Combine ground beef, pork sausage, eggs, bread crumbs, garlic, sweet onion, bell pepper, oregano, kosher salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, onion soup mix, milk, and half of the tomato paste!. Gently mix only until combined!. Do not overwork the meat or it will become tough!. Form into a loaf!. Cover with the remaining half can of tomato paste!. Weave the bacon strips over the top!. Bake 1 hour!. Let meatloaf rest 15 minutes before cutting to serve!.

salt & pepper to taste
1 small can of tomato sauce
Mix all the ingred!. together (except tomato sauce)!. Foil line a square baking pan!. Add meatloaf to the pan and pour the tomato sauce over top and side of meatloaf!. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes!. When finished the tomato sauce makes a great gravy alt!. for your mash potatoes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

3/4 cup dry breadcrumbs
3/4 cup diced onion
1 can of Campbell's Alphabet soup!.
Mix all ingredients together!. Place in loaf pan or form into loaf!.
Paint the top of the loaf with ketchup or Heinz 57 sauce!.
Put a couple of uncooked bacon slices across the loaf in the short direction over the ketchup or 57!.
Start baking @ 400 degrees F!. for 20 minutes, then reduce heat to 325 degrees F for 40 more minutes!. Let stand 10 minutes before carving!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Crush a bag of saltines, mix with 2 lb hamburger, 1 pack of onion soup mix, and two eggs, put it into a loaf pan and top with ketchup!. bake @ 300 for one hour!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
