Actually, you missed it!. It's mayonnaise!. I know, ew, but I swear you won't taste it!. That's how I make my cakes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Vegetable oil works best, butter runs to much and it makes them taste salty, and I've never used lard before because it is way to fatning and no taste I heard!. Your best off with vegetable oil, if you want them more moiste put more oil not a lot more but a little!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I always use oil for my brownies!. Do not over bake or they will dry out!.
Sometimes for a different tasting brownie I add choc chips to the mix!. Sometimes I cut up fun size candy bars and add them after I spread them in the pan!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I use veggie oil!. Actually, mayonaisse makes a really moist cake, and you do not taste it afterwards!. I don't know tho how much you would use for brownies!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Lard or Butter, but if you have any care about your fat/calorie intake, I'd go with the veggy oil!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
