Try cutting the fat in recipes that you already like!. You can use less cheese or none at all!.

I never use those cream soups anymore!. You can make your own creamy sauce substitute!. Mix instant non-fat dry milk powder with 1 percent milk instead of water or add the milk powder to chicken broth!. Add whatever flavoring you want such as minced onion, garlic, celery, mushrooms etc!.

Here's a recipe!.!. I haven't tried this because when a recipe calls for "soup" I just do what I mentioned above, but a friend passed this along to me, I like her food!.

1cup powdered milk
3/4 cup cornstarch
1/4 cup instant bouillon granules
2 tablespoons dried onion flakes
1 teaspoon basil
1 teaspoon thyme
1/2 teaspoon pepper

2!. Store in an airtight container!.
3!. For the equivalent of 1 can of cream soup, mix 1/3 cup with 1 1/4 cups of cold water!. Cook in sauce pan until thick!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
