Is one cup of i can't believe its not butter equal to one cup of butter??!

I Can't Believe It's Not Butter is margarine!. In recipes stating that you can use butter OR margarine, then yes it would be one cup of either!.
If the recipe says to use butter, margarine may not give you the same results, especially if you are baking with it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

When baking NEVER use a sub unless the recipe calls for it!. If you do it will change the final outcome of your item and not for the better!. So go get some real UNSALTED butter and use it!. your tastebuds will thank you!. And yes cause the item your baking is full flavor just eat smaller portions of the item for a healthy way to get what you want and enjoy it too!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I have to agree with TX2step!. blech! Doesn't work so well in baking!. In frying it's a disaster, as well!
Stick to the real stuff!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It isn't good to substitute for butter when baking!. Artificial butter (that's whipped to stay soft) has added air and water, so the consistency isn't the same - plus it doesn't taste anywhere near as good in baked goodsWww@FoodAQ@Com
