I've experimented with ground beef / chicken / turkey / pork!.

Add experimenting with kidney / pinto/ black beans!.
Now you have a palette to work with!. Adapt the amount of chili powder / cayenne that's good for you!.

Onion, green pepper, garlic!.

Tomato product (stewed / diced / chopped)!.

I follow the instructions and use the McCormick mix sold in the stores with the gravy and other packets!.
It's really good and simple!. Just add browned meat, beans (I use one can of kidney and one can of pinto not drained), a couple of cans of tomatoe sauce or diced tomatoes and the packet!. Top with cheese and sour cream and pair it up with some cornbread!!! Yummy!Www@FoodAQ@Com
