Answers:
If the recipe reads: 1 cup of butter, melted then you take 1 cup of butter and melt it!.
If the recipe read: 1 cup of melted butter!. Then you would melt the butter then measure 1 cup!.
Hope that helpsWww@FoodAQ@Com

Take 2 sticks of butter and melt it slowly either on the stove or in the microwave!. It probably still measures very close to1 cup liquid when it's done (except for the little bit of air that takes up space in the stick form)!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Two sticks of butter is one cup!. Whether it is melted in a pot on the stove top or in a bowl and microwaved it will be a cup!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If the recipe says:
1 c Butter melted

Then I measure out one cup of butter and then melt it!. But be sure you pack the butter/margarine into the cup!. No air spaces!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
