LOL!!!!! I'm sorry but this made me laugh!.!.!.the fact that it was ((given)) to you is what's getting me! I hope your not too distraught over it!. At least you still have the nuts!.
Was their an expiration date!? I would imagine that it takes awhile for Chocolate to turn to dust!. Heat, age, grade of chocolate all factor in!.

Given that chocolate is made from powdered cocoa beans it's not a surprise to find some scattered about!. But, if ALL the chocolate has decomposed to dust then you've got a major problem with your maker! Need to know which you meant to really answer that question!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Okay I think I know what your problem is!. If it is a low quailty Brand of chocolate, It tends to dry out quickly and powders off hence the dust you see!. More than likely the gift your friend gave you was probaly not as fresh as they would of liked!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Somebody's been eating your chocolateWww@FoodAQ@Com
All the moisture went out of it so it turned back to coco powder!.!.!.which means it's probably super old and shouldn't eat it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Very old chocolate turns to dust!. If the candy was that old, the nuts would be rancid, too!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
try puttin' water on it!.!.!. I don't know how it turned to dust thou'!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
