Question: Ahh! My Flour has a bunch of weevils in it! What do I do!?
I have a bunch of weevils in my flour! I don't know how they got in, because I keep my flour in an airtight container that latches shut!. Can I just sift them out and be okay!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Yes you could, the heat when you cook will kill off anything left behind!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No, throw them out!. My mom found them in our flour, cereal, pasta etc!. Don't know how they got there, but I do know they multiply REAL fast! Once we threw everything out, we did not see them again!. I'm 32 and it only happened once!. So, don't worry about them coming back!. I haven't seen them again and I visit my mom a lot!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You may not see the bugs!.!.!.!.but their feces are still in there (and eggs too)!.!.!.!.pretty much too tiny for you to sift out!. Time for new stuff! :)

Store in air-tight containers (like Tupperware), or in freezer or fridge!. Just make sure to bring to room temp before using!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

well, you could!. I've done it before!. i mean if you're in a pinch!. you may just want to pitch it and buy some new!. I used to live in an old house and they would get into everything!. I finally started keeping all flours, cornmeals, grits, etc!. in the fridge!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Throw it away, next time, store in a closed container,at least 6 inches above the ground and away from the wall in a well lighted, ventilated room!.(55-70F)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Throw it out!. You can't get them out even if you sift it!. also check any other products that are open in the same area!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No throw the flour away!!!
The eggs might have gotten in before you purchased the flour!. Do not buy flour that has holes in the bag!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I would toss the flour, disinfect the container and start overWww@FoodAQ@Com

Give them a bill for the amount of flour they ate!Www@FoodAQ@Com

throw it out next time put it in the fridgeWww@FoodAQ@Com
