Smores cookies?!


Question: Smores cookies!?
I bought some of the bakery-style smores cookies from the grocery store yesteday and they're absolutely to die for! I'd love to make them at home since they're almost $5 for a dozen!. Does anyone have a recipe for smores cookies that turn out soft and chewy!? Thanks!Www@FoodAQ@Com

S'mores Sandwich Bar Cookies
Ingredients:
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine, softened
3/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1-1/3 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup graham cracker crumbs
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1-1/3 cups (8-oz!. pkg!.) HERSHEY'S Mini Milk Chocolate Bars OR 5 HERSHEY'S Milk Chocolate Bars (1!.55 oz!. each)
3 cups miniature marshmallows
Directions:
1!. Heat oven to 350°F!. Grease 8-inch square baking pan!.

2!. Beat butter and sugar until well blended in large bowl!. Add egg and vanilla; beat well!. Stir together flour, graham cracker crumbs, baking powder and salt; add to butter mixture, beating until blended!. Press half of dough in prepared pan!. Bake 15 minutes!.

3!. Sprinkle mini chocolate bars over baked layer or arrange unwrapped chocolate bars over baked layer, breaking as needed to fit!. Sprinkle with marshmallows; scatter bits of remaining dough over marshmallows, forming top layer!. Bake 10 to 15 minutes or just until lightly browned!. Cool completely in pan on wire rack!. Mix these and sandwich in between the following cookie recipe:
1/3 cup graham cracker crumbs
7 tablespoons marshmallow creme
7 tablespoons milk chocolate chips

Cookie recipe

48 HERSHEY'S KISSES Brand Milk Chocolates or HERSHEY'S KISSES WITH ALMONDS Brand Milk Chocolates or white chocolate
1 cup (2 sticks) butter or margarine, softened
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1/3 cup packed light brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup HERSHEY'S MINI CHIPS Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
CHOCOLATE DRIZZLE(recipe follows)
Directions:
1!. Heat oven to 375°F!. Remove wrappers from chocolates!.

2!. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla in large bowl until well blended!. Add flour to butter mixture; blend until smooth!. Stir in small chocolate chips!. Mold scant tablespoon dough around each chocolate piece, covering completely!. Shape into balls; place on ungreased cookie sheet!.

3!. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until set!. Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet to wire rack!. Cool completely!. Prepare CHOCOLATE DRIZZLE; drizzle over each cookie!. About 4 dozen cookies!.


CHOCOLATE DRIZZLE: Place 1/4 cup HERSHEY'S MINI CHIPS Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips and 1 teaspoon shortening in small microwave-safe bowl!. Microwave at HIGH (100%) 30 seconds; stir!. If necessary, microwave at HIGH an additional 20 seconds at a time, stirring after each heating, until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth when stirred!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

S'More Delight

1 box of graham crackers, crushed
1 small can of chocolate syrup
1 large jar of marshmallow cream
1 pkg!. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup frozen whipped topping, thawed
2 Tbsp!. chopped nuts

1!. Crush graham crackers in a blender or place in a plastic bag and use a rolling pin!.
2!. Place half of the graham cracker crumbs in the bottom of a large bowl!.
3!. Spread half of the marshmallow cream over crumbs!.
4!. Sprinkle half of package of chocolate chips over top of marshmallow cream!.
5!. Drizzle half of can of chocolate syrup over top of chocolate chips!.
6!. Repeat layers with remaining ingredients!.
7!. Top with whipped topping
8!. Sprinkle with nuts!.
