I am planning on making a cheesecake for tommorrow and I dont know if I should use the Philadelphia cheesecake filling or buy the ingrediants and make it on my own!. Which would be the best bet!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Ultimately, in the long run, buying the natural ingredients is cheaper, because you can't just buy an exact amount for just one cheesecake!. So, I suggest, if you are only making one, buy the filling, but if you think you will make more than one (especially in case anything goes wrong with the first one, which sometimes happens) buy the natural ingredients!.
also it will be healthier, and more flavorful to your guests!. Most people prefer fresh ingredients these days Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you are a regular baker, I am guessing that you have most of this on-hand already:

Philadelphia Classic Cheesecake

1-1/2 cups HONEY MAID Graham Cracker Crumbs
3 Tbsp!. sugar
1/3 cup butter or margarine, melted
4 pkg!. (8 oz!. each) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
1 cup sugar
1 tsp!. vanilla
4 eggs

PREHEAT oven to 325°F if using a silver 9-inch springform pan (or to 300°F if using a dark nonstick springform pan)!. Mix crumbs, 3 Tbsp!. sugar and butter; press firmly onto bottom of pan!.

BEAT cream cheese, 1 cup sugar and vanilla with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended!. Add eggs, 1 at a time, mixing on low speed after each addition just until blended!. Pour over crust!.

BAKE 55 minutes or until center is almost set!. Loosen cake from side of pan; cool before removing side of pan!. Refrigerate 4 hours or overnight!. Store leftover cheesecake in refrigerator!.

Jello brand Cheese cake is the least expensive option!. Everything needed is in the box!.

the Cheese cake filling would be my second choice for less expensive!. then you just have to buy the ingredients for the crust!.

the most expensive is to buy each of the ingredients necessary to make one!. Sometimes they just don't turn out right and then you say curse words!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The cheesecake filling is really good!. I made a Vanilla and a chocolate one!. They both disappeared fast!. I used the prepared graham cracker crust!. My sons love cheesecake and gave it a 2 thumbs up!. That is a real compliment!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Buy the store brand cream cheese, and make it yourself!. It would be cheaper to use the premade filling, but the real thing tastes way better!. That processed stuff tastes like crap!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It is always cheaper to buy!.

Why!? Look up something called "economies of scale!."Www@FoodAQ@Com

overall the filling and premade crust is much cheaperWww@FoodAQ@Com

I think that buying the mix would not only be cheaper, but easier since you don't have to bake it!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Anything but homemade, real cheese cake is a sinWww@FoodAQ@Com

cheaper to buy the filling, but i wont be as good as homemade!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

My advice !?!?
use the filling the first few times
then with all the recipes you will get - - you got your shopping list!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Making your own is always better, although You will spend more on it!. probably 6 or 7 bucksWww@FoodAQ@Com
