I bought McCormick Mixed spice by mistake and it taste awful!

Question: I bought McCormick Mixed spice by mistake and it taste awful
yesterday i bought a bottle dried McCormick Mixed Spice which contains Rosemary,Savory,Thyme and Sage!.the instruction on the label said it can be mixed into bolognese sauce or sprinkle on tomatoes!.i mixed 2 teaspoon(as directed on the label) into my spicy tomato spaghetti sauce and it turns awful! the sauce taste very salty somehow even i didn't put any salt and the spiciness of the sauce lost!.the smell of the herb doesn't go very well with the flavour of the sauce!.

is there anything i can do with that herb!? it such a waste to throw it away and i can't find any suitable recipes on the net to use up that herb!. thanks!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
You could probably mix the spice blend with some oil and vinegar to make a salad dressing!. Or make a paste spice rub for chicken!. Or for garlic bread!. Or sprinkle it on corn!.

Sounds like it would be a great herb to use in chicken dishes!.

I would suggest mixing it with olive oil and using it to rub under the skin and inside the cavity of a whole chicken before roasting it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You could also try sprinkling it on a pork roast before cooking as rosemary and thyme tastes really good on it!. The above chicken idea sounds really good too!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Sounds like it would taste awesome on chicken!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I agree with the first guy!. Sounds great for chicken!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
