Cooking is an art that can be learned & it takes practice & patience to perfect it ,a dedicated learner can master any skill,to my knowledge!.Granted today's hectic pace of life leaves little time to nuture talents & skills ,but you can do it if you mean to,determination is everything !.

You should definately keep trying!. Follow recipes carefully, eat a lot of different kinds of foods, and be sure to be aware of the aromas, textures, colors of things!. After a while, cooking will be second nature to you and you won't need the cookbooks!. I am self taught, everyone who has a meal at my home tells me I should open a restaurant!. It just comes from experimenting and being aware of the kinds of things you like!. The more knowledge you have about how certain things react/taste with others the better your concoctions will be!. Practice does make perfect!. The first mashed potatoes i made was absolutely horrible, now its one of the things i make best!. when i was growing up, i was learning, borderline ya know, now i must say that i am an excellent cook!. i learned from my mother, practice, trail and error and the cooking channel!. i try different things together and see what they come out like, if its good, its a keeper!. Keep on trying and watch the cooking channel!. they give you lots of tips and great dinner ideas!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

if you want to learn cooking, start with simple meals and move to more complex ones when you can prepare the easier dishes!. don;t start with making some really difficult sauce or fancy cake!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No its not!. Anyone can learn with the right teacher, patience, and willingness!. I couldn't cook when I was 10y/o!. Now I own a restaurant that is full everynight!. And I'm the cook!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
