Question: Good Turtle Pie recipe
So I just got back from Chicago and of course we went to Harry Cary's!. I had this really good Chocolate Caramel Pecan Pie for dessert!. That's my dad's favorite food!. I want to make it for him but need the recipie!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Chocolate Caramel Pecan Pie

1/4 cup chocolate wafer crumbs
4 cups vanilla ice cream, divided use
1/3 cup chopped pecans
1/3 cup caramel sauce
1/4 cup chocolate syrup
2 tablespoons chopped pecans
2 tablespoons caramel sauce
2 tablespoons chocolate syrup
Generously butter a 9-inch pie plate!. Sprinkle with chocolate wafer crumbs, tilting the pan until evenly distributed!.
In a medium bowl, beat 2 cups vanilla ice cream until smooth!. Spread carefully into the prepared pan!. Sprinkle with chopped pecans then drizzle caramel sauce and chocolate syrup on top!.
Top with 2 cups vanilla ice cream and sprinkle with chopped pecans, caramel sauce, and chocolate syrup!. Freeze until firm!.
Makes 8 servings!.

Turtle Pie
1(9in)baked pie shell
12 carmels,unrapped
1 (14oz)can Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk(NOT EVAPORATED)
2(1-OZ)squares unsweetened chocolate
1/4 cup margarine or butter
2 eggs
2 tab water
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
dash salt
1/2 cup chopped peacans

Preheat oven to 325 degrees, In small heavy sauce pan,over
low heat,melt carmels with 1/3 cup sweetened con!. milk!. Spead
evenly on bottom of prepared pie crust!. In medium sauce pan, over
low heat,melt chocolate with the butter or marg!.In large mixer bowl,
beat eggs,with remaining sweetened Condensed milk,water,van,salt!.
Add chocolate mixture;Mix well!.Pour into pie shell!.Top with peacans!.
Bake 35min,or until center is set!.Cool!.Chill!.Refrigerate leftovers!.

Chocolate Caramel Pecan Pie

Terrific combination of chocolate and pecans in this pie!.

Ingredients
3 cups Pecan pieces, divided
1/4 cup Sugar
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter, melted
1 pkg (14 oz) caramels
2/3 cup Whipping cream, divided
1 pkg (8 squares) semi-sweet baking chocolate
1/4 cup Powdered sugar
1/2 tsp Vanilla


Preparation
Preheat oven to 350 degrees!. Place 2 cups of pecans in food process; cover!. Process until finely ground, using pulsing action!. Mix with granulated sugar and butter; press into 9 inch pie plate!. Bake 12 mins or until lighly browned!. Cool completely!. (If crust puffs up during baking, gently press down with back of spoon!.)


Microwave caramels and 1/3 cup of whipping cream in microwavable bowl on high 3 minutes or until caramels are melted, stirring after each minute!. Pour into crust!. Chop remaining 1 cup of pecans; sprinkle over pie!.


Place chocolate, remaining whipping cream, powdered sugar and vanilla in saucepan; cook and stir on low heat just until chocolate is melted!. our over pie; gently spread to cover top of pie!. Refrigerate at least 2 hours
