The answer is a BIG NO! You never put hot foods into a cool fridge or freezer as it will heat up the chilled items which could result in dangerous bacteria growing on your food and may cause illnesses!. This is one cause of food poisoning so don't do it!!!!! also, I used to be a chef with CP Hotels so I've had plenty of experience!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

yes, most definetly, as a matter of fact, u might not believe it, but i grew up around my grandmother, and she used to cool her layer cakes in the fridge! seriously, she did it, as they was just as good but just don't forget they're in the fridge!. Good Luck Hope that helped!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I would definitely try it first when you are not having guests!. If it is from a mix, it should say on the box if this is recommended!. If it is from scratch, run a test, perhaps with cupcakes!. You con't want the cake to fall you know!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Putting it in the fridge, the heat will attract moisture condensation and your cake will go soggy!. Cool it properly on cake racks! Is the air conditioning on!? That will help a bit!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I suppose, but this might be faster: fill a freezer bag with ice cubes, and put it on top of the cake!. I did that the last time I made a cake!. It worked okay!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I've done that before just be sure and wrap it in seran wrap or wax paper so it stays moist!. The refrigerator tends to dry food out!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

-Yes, that's what I do with everything:
+Cakes
+Brownies
+Cookies
+Etc!.
=It makes them WAY easier to cut too! ^^

It works great and the freezer works even better!. You just have to time it right!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

it could steam up your fridge and make everything else warm (like meat)!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

I would think it would be fineWww@FoodAQ@Com

Yep!

won't affect the cake at all!. I've done this many times!.

Go for it!Www@FoodAQ@Com
