Extra-virgin olive oil (EVOO) comes from cold pressing of the olives, contains no more than 0!.8 percent acidity, and is judged to have a superior taste!. Extra-virgin and virgin olive oil may not contain refined oil!.
Olive oil is a blend of virgin oil and refined oil, of no more than 1!.5 percents acidity!. It commonly lacks a strong flavor!.

Remember to fry use olive oil, for cold food like salads better to use extra-virgin olive oil!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Extra virgin is the first press of the olive!. Virgin is the 2nd and plain old olive oil is 3rd!. EVOO is the best and there is a subtle difference for a refined palate, but for average household cooks you won't notice much of a difference!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Extra-virgin= olives trees that have never been picked before; never borne fruit before!.!.!.Supposedly better quality!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
