Answers:
Follow the recipe on the choc!. chip bag, BUT DO NOT ADD SALT if you use salted butter!.!.
Bake them under the 12 mins I go 10 to 11 mins!. It would also help if the butter and eggs are at room temp!. I tend not to use Nestles chips because they have artificial ingredients!. I use Ghiardelli chip which are free of artificial ingredients and a much better product over all!.

I use 1/2 cup crisco and 1/2 cup butter instead of the 1 cup of butter most recipes call for!. This makes a bit difference!. Then if the recipe indicates to cook 9 - 11 minutes, I take them out at 8 as they are just starting to turn brown on the edges and I like my cookies chewy!. They do continue to cook after you remove them from the oven, therefore this is my trick!. also make sure to let the eggs rest at room temperature for about 15 minutes before using, best to have all ingredients at room temp!. the recipe on the back of the bag is good!. when you cream the butter sugar and eggs and vanilla!. make sure you cream it real good and long scraping the bowl!. and when you add your flour, do not over beat at that point!. stir in your chipsWww@FoodAQ@Com

Experiment and experience!. I like mine crunchier and my hubby likes them softer!. And find yourself some really good cookie sheets to bake them on!.

Use the nestle toll house recipe (back of yellow bag)

Don't overmix dough after adding flour

Don't overbake cookiesWww@FoodAQ@Com

the key is to take them out when they JUST start turning golden brown onthe edges!.!.!.that way they finish cooking outside the oven and stay moist and chewy, and also dont overbeat the batterWww@FoodAQ@Com

Let your eggs rot a bit!. Sounds odd but, the flavor it gives is unreal, try it!Www@FoodAQ@Com

make the cookies small and don't bake them too longWww@FoodAQ@Com
