Question: How can I make a 6in cake (that isn't crumbly) with a 9in pan!?
Answers:
I suppose a 6" pan is nowhere in sight!?

Bake the 9" cake as you usually would!. After it has cooled and been taken out of pan put it n the freezer til it is pretty cold!. Make sure you wrap it up so it doesn't get ice crystals in it!. Take it out, measure 6" diameter and cut!. The freezing will keep the cake from crumbling while you cut it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The cake batter spreads out when you put it in the pan, so the only way to do it would be to go ahead and bake a 9 inch cake and cut it down to 6 inches!. OR, get a 6 inch pan!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Trim off 3 inches after it's baked!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

cut three inches off it all the way around when it is doneWww@FoodAQ@Com
