I mix oregano , with Mrs!. Dash , shake it up in a zip lock bag with alittle garlic powder and oinion salt a dash of powdered red pepper, rub in deep on both sides , the oregano really brings out all the natural flavors , and so far nobody has ever asked to put anything else on it (bbq sauce)!. I found some good idea's from Martha Stewart!. This rub is from E!.J!. Emeril's son!. Emerial also has a sauce that you can make and use on top of this rub if desired!. It is originally for ribs, but can be use with any meat!. I also included the link below!.

E!.J!.'s Bbq rub;

2 1/2 teaspoons mustard powder
2 teaspoons sweet paprika
1 teaspoon celery salt
1 teaspoon onion powder
3/4 teaspoon red-pepper flakes
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon celery seed
Coarse salt

Now, Emerils Bbq sauce;

1 tablespoon vegetable oil, such as safflower
1 medium onion, finely chopped
3 garlic cloves, minced
Coarse salt and ground pepper
1 cup ketchup
1 cup canned beef broth
3/4 cup cider vinegar
1/4 cup packed light-brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
1/2 teaspoon celery salt
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Directions
In a medium saucepan, heat oil over medium!. Add onion and garlic; season with salt and pepper!. Cook until onion is translucent, 3 to 5 minutes!. Add remaining ingredients; bring to a simmer!. Cook, stirring occasionally, until sauce has thickened, about 30 minutes!.
