Yes there is a difference ! Heavy cream has the highest butter fat
whipping cream can and does have less butter fat
whip cream can be made from either heavy or whipping cream!.
Cool Whip is an Palm kernel oil based product!. That contains NO
dairy what so ever!. WHen making heay cream and or whipped cream
you have to add a about 1+ tsp sugar (or to taste) per cup and maybe a little vanilla for that extra touch as well!. Be careful not to overbeat or you will have BUTTER from either one!. If you you Beat cool whip or allow it to become to warm it breaks down into a clumpy mess that you have to throw away there is no way to refluff it!. I hope that this answer helps you Www@FoodAQ@Com

Heavy cream and whipping cream are the same thing exactly!.

Cool whip is a whipped topping made from vegetable oil!. It's fake whipped cream and it tastes fake!.

Whip cream is the stuff in the can that you squirt on your dessert!. There is imitation whip cream!. Ready Whip is one brand!. Land-O-Lakes puts sweetened (real) whipped cream in a can!. I don't use it because it's just too aerated for me, but it tastes better by far than Ready Whip!.

There's another product called Dream Whip that comes in a box containing 4 foil pouches of instant powdered whipped topping!. You add milk to this and beat it with an electric hand mixer!. It's the predecessor of Cool Whip!. I keep it around for emergencies!. I'm not sure all grocers even carry this anymore!. I prefer it to Cool Whip!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
