Question: Substituting applesauce for oil in muffin mix recipe!?
I have heard that you can substitute applesauce for the oil that is called for in a box of muffin mix!. Is this true!? If so, what is the correct ratio!? how does it turn out!? thanksWww@FoodAQ@Com

I've done it, tell you the truth compare them I like it with applesauce better!. Besides applesauce adds something the oil doesn't!.!.!.!. I've never made muffins with oil since!. Do it, taste it love it!. I make blueberry muffins with applesauce and oddly enough it tastes excellent!. I don't know what is in the applesauce that makes it taste slightly better and softer!. But let me tell you it does, do it and you'll be amazed!. I know I was when my neighbor had shown me that trick!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
