Question: How to make a tuna salad!.
I"m on my own for dinner tonight, and I decided that I was going to try and make an Asian-y tuna salad(not canned tuna, fresh)!. How should I prepare the tuna, make the dressing, etc!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Seared Tuna Salad with Asian Vinaigrette

1/4 cup rice wine vinegar
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1/2 lime, juiced
1 teaspoon grated ginger
1 teaspoon Chinese mustard
1 tablespoon chopped cilantro
1/2 cup canola oil
1 1/2 pounds Ahi tuna loin, cut in 4 strips
Salt and pepper
2 tablespoons dark sesame oil
1/3 cup sesame seeds
1 bunch mizuna greens
1 bunch arugula greens
3 cups torn red leaf lettuce
3 cups torn green leaf lettuce
2 green onions, chopped
1/2 cup fried rice noodles
1/4 cup slivered almonds, toasted
1 navel orange, peeled and sectioned

In a small bowl, whisk together the vinegar, soy sauce, lime, ginger, mustard and cilantro!. Pour in the oil and continue to whisk until emulsified!.
Season the tuna fillets with salt and pepper; lightly coat with oil!. Put sesame seeds on a plate!. Coat top and bottom of each fillet with seeds!. Heat a large, dry skillet over high heat!. Add fillets; cook about 3 minutes!. Turn; cook until desired doneness, about 3 to 4 minutes for rare!. Slice the tuna into 1-inch thick strips!.

Mix the greens together and spread out on a platter!. Add the green onions, rice noodles almonds, and orange segments!. Lay the tuna strips on top then drizzle with the vinaigrette!. Season with salt and pepper and serve immediately

2 servings2 tuna steaks (4 oz!. each) 2 tsp!. olive oil 1/2 tsp!. cracked black pepper 2 cups baby spinach leaves 1 cup each: shredded green and red cabbage 1 cup shredded carrots 1/4 cup sliced green onions 1/4 cup KRAFT GOOD SEASONS Asian Sesame with Ginger Dressing 1/4 cup PLANTERS COCKTAIL Peanuts PREHEAT grill to medium heat!. Brush tuna steaks with olive oil; season with pepper, if desired!.

GRILL tuna 3 to 4 min!. on each side for medium-rare doneness!. Remove from grill; cover to keep warm!.

PLACE spinach in large bowl!. Add cabbages, carrots and onions; mix lightly!. Add dressing; toss to coat!. Place on serving platter!. Cut tuna into slices; place on top of salad!. Sprinkle with the peanuts!.

1 1/2 tsp classic Ceasar Salad dressing
1/2 can of tuna
2 baby carrots, chopped
2 lettuce leaves
3 olives
1/2 roma tomato
1/2 tsp each garlic powder
1/2 tsp basil leaves
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
1/2 tsp salt

In a small bowl, combine tuna, chopped carrot, olives, and tomato!. Chop one of the lettuce leaves and add!.

Spinkle with remaining spices, salad dressing, then mix thoroughly!.

Using the other lettuce leaf, place tuna salad in tne center, and then fold and enjoy!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I always use canned tuna but I'd like to share some recipes so just to give you an idea!.

Recipe 1
Ingredients: flakes in oil tuna and white raddish (cut into strips)
Procedure: Just mix!. You may also add sesame-based dressings!.
Note: You should use raddish that is not so bitter!.

Recipe 2
Ingredients: tuna flakes, fresh cucumber, lettuce, small salad tomatoes, cooked pasta, mayonnaise, pepper
Procedure: Just mix all the ingredients, then sprinkle with pepper!.
