Answers:
I do it occasionally at work when I'm too lazy to go get more canola oil!. In chocolate, it won't be a problem!. In white it's a problem!. I even have one recipe for a scratch cake that calls for olive oil!. If I had it at home I'ld give it to you!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

In the Mediterranean region where I live you almost exclusively use olive oil for everything and always the best quality extra-virgin!. Of course not always for cake and sweet stuff, but if you use it for cake be advise to use only a small quantity!. Olive Oil has properties which make it so that you don't require much, and it has a very strong flavor!. So if you use too much it may not taste bad, but it will taste too much like olive oil (which tastes a lot better than regular oil anyway)!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Olive oil benefits most food items!. However it does have a distinct flavor that may over power bland or light food items!. Therefore I do not recommend it!. If you do, make sure that it is an olive oil blend and not extra-virgin!. The darker the oil, the more intense flavor of olives you have!.

Good Luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com

MMM I'm sure it will be ok, but next time you are out of regular oil, try applesauce!. You can't taste it and it's a healthy replacement for oil!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I have not tried it!. Watch Giada on the food network make a cake using olive oil and rosemary!. I don't think it will taste bad at all!. Probably be rather tasty!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I used it once to make a carrot cake and you could taste the oil!. it wasn't awful but I wouldn't do it again!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

yes it will turn out fine
