Answers:
Momma Doo -- I have found it hard to find chicken that has not been frozen one time or other!. If you will try this once I think you will like it
and it will solve the bleeding problem!. It's how I
prepair chicken and other fowl for cooking!.
Place 1 cut up chicken in a glass or plastic bowl or large
zip lock bag!. Cover with water and add 1/4 cup course salt for table salt use less1 table spoon brown sugar mix to dissolve salt and sugar!. Let sit in frig!.at least 2 hours over night is better!.
Rinse chicken under running cold water, pat dry
with paper towels bread and cook as usual!.I fix turkey this way also!. hope you injoy your chicken!.

Bleeding from the bones means the chicken has been frozen prior to cooking!. There is a complicated chemical reaction that takes place (don't ask me to spell it out, I can't remember it now!) that causes the hemoglobin to seep out of the bone marrow into the meat!. It especially happens in leg and thigh meat!. It *IS* harmless, and in fact, increases the iron content of the edible meat!. But it can be a little ugly to look at!.

Best solution!? Use fresh, not previously frozen, chicken pieces!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You could remove the bones before frying ( Though the chicken will probably come apart ) It's always worth a try!.!.!. If not you'll have to suffer through with the bleeding or buy the bonless ones!. Sadly I've had the same problem and I used to throw it away because it bled!. heh, I thought there was something wrong with it!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

hello there
f!.i!.y it is meant to be like that!.!.
of course it bleeds!.!.(the heat n pressure let blood come out from the bones) i'm sure you dont want to eat fried chicken with the blood still in it!.!.yucky!.

all u have to do is just let it bleed for sometime!.!.then!.!.when it turns black n a lil dried!.!.your chicken is cooked!. at this stage you can turn the chicken to cook the other side of it and voila! (sometimes when cooking the other side, it doesnt bleed as much!.!.or no blood at all)!.

You can't keep it from bleeding (it is bone marrow!.!.!.blood)!. You can try making sure it is well done by browning it on all sides then lower your heat and place a lid on it until the blood stops and the juices are clear!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

The blood is coming out of the bones so there is nothing you can do except get rid of the bones!. It won't hurt you it just cooks away in the
oil!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Jim b is correct!.!. soak chicken pieces in salt water overnight!. Restaurants do this!. You may need to cut back on the salt you might use in cooking later!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

When I make fried chicken I brown it up nice and then bake it for awhile on a rack with a little water underneath, covered!. The grease drips off, and the chicken finishes cooking!. Hurray!Www@FoodAQ@Com
