Question: Good recipes for kids!?
my hubby is out on deployment so it's just me and my 2 girls (both under 5)!. so making meals is kind of difficult for me!. can anyone give me some good websites or recipes that my girls will like, heathy, and quickly prepared!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins ---


INGREDIENTS
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 egg
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup plain yogurt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup mashed ripe bananas
3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips



DIRECTIONS
In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt!. In another bowl, combine the egg, oil, yogurt and vanilla!. Stir into dry ingredients just until moistened!. Fold in bananas and chocolate chips!. Fill greased or paper-lined muffin cups two-thirds full!. Bake at 350 degrees F for 22-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean!. Cool for 5 minutes before removing from pans to wire racks!.

Apple Ladybug Treats ---


INGREDIENTS
2 red apples
1/4 cup raisins
1 tablespoon peanut butter
8 thin pretzel sticks



DIRECTIONS
Slice apples in half from top to bottom and scoop out the cores using a knife or melon baller!. If you have an apple corer, core them first, then slice!. Place each apple half flat side down on a small plate!.
Dab peanut butter on to the back of the 'lady bug', then stick raisins onto the dabs for spots!. Use this method to make eyes too!. Stick one end of each pretzel stick into a raisin, then press the other end into the apples to make antennae!.

INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
4 large pita breads, halved
8 lettuce leaves

8 thin slices fully cooked ham
16 thin slices tomato



DIRECTIONS
Combine the mayonnaise and mustard; spread about 1 tablespoon into each pita half!. Stuff each with one lettuce leaf, two slices of bologna, one slice of ham and two slices of tomato!.

Cherry Berry Smoothies ---


INGREDIENTS
1 cup cherry juice
1 (8 ounce) container vanilla yogurt
1 cup frozen unsweetened raspberries
1/2 cup seedless red grapes
3 teaspoons sugar



DIRECTIONS
In a blender, combine all ingredients!. Cover and process until well blended!. pour into glasses; serve immediately!.

Grilled Pizza Wraps ---


INGREDIENTS
2 tablespoons margarine, softened
8 (10 inch) flour tortillas
1 (16 ounce) package shredded Cheddar-Monterey Jack cheese blend
1/2 cup pizza sauce
4 ounces sliced pepperoni



DIRECTIONS
Heat a large skillet over medium-low heat!. Spread margarine over one side of a tortilla, and place it margarine-side down in the skillet!. Spoon a tablespoon of pizza sauce onto half of the tortilla!. Sprinkle 1/2 cup of shredded cheese over the sauce, and top with a few slices of pepperoni!. Fold the clean half of the tortilla over the filling, and cook until golden on each side!. Repeat with remaining tortillas!.

Tiny Chicken Turnovers ---


INGREDIENTS
3 tablespoons chopped onion
3 tablespoons butter
1 3/4 cups shredded, cooked chicken meat
3 tablespoons chicken stock
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
1/4 teaspoon poultry seasoning
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese, diced
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1 cup butter, chilled
5 tablespoons cold water



DIRECTIONS
In a large skillet saute the onion in the butter until tender!. Stir in the chicken, chicken broth, garlic salt, poultry seasoning, pepper and cream cheese!. Remove from heat and set aside!.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C)!.
In a large bowl mix together the flour, salt and paprika; cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs!. Gradually add water, tossing with a fork until a ball forms!.
On a floured surface roll out the pastry to 1/16 inch thick!. Cut with a 2 1/2 inch round cookie or biscuit cutter!. Reroll scraps and cut more circles until the pastry is used up!.
Mound a heaping teaspoon of filling on half of each circle!. Moisten edges with water and fold pastry over filling to make a half moon shape!. Press edges with a fork to seal!. Prick tops with a fork for steam vents!.
Place turnovers on a baking sheet and bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown!.

Restaurant-Style Chicken Tenderloins --- tastes like Cracker Barrel's


INGREDIENTS
1 pound skinless, boneless chicken breast meat
1/2 cup Italian-style salad dressing
1 teaspoon fresh lime juice
1 1/2 teaspoons honey



DIRECTIONS
Slice chicken into thin strips!. In a small bowl mix together the dressing, lime juice and honey!. Place chicken strips in a 9x13 inch baking dish and pour mixture over chicken, covering all!. Cover dish and refrigerate to marinate for 1 hour!.
Remove chicken from marinade, discarding any remaining marinade!. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat and saute chicken strips until lightly browned and cooked through (juices run clear), 12 to 15 minutes!.

INGREDIENTS
2 eggs
1/4 cup milk
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup strawberry preserves

In a small bowl, beat eggs, milk and salt; set aside!. Spread preserves on four slices of bread; top with the remaining bread!. Trim crusts; cut each sandwich into three strips!. Dip both sides in egg mixture!. Cook on a lightly greased hot griddle for 2 minutes on each side or until golden brown!. Dust with confectioners' sugar if desired!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
