it doesn't once you add liquid to the cake batter the baking soda and powder begin the leavening process and should be baked right away!. otherwise, you'll end up with a dense, heavy and flat cake!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I make waffles with these ingredients that sit out overnight and then the batter is good for up to a week in the fridge!.!.!.hope that helpsWww@FoodAQ@Com

A week tops, but ensure you really whip it before using it!.
