Question: When you make parched corn, to dry it you hang it up!. but do you leav e the husks on or off!?
Answers:
Parched Corn

Generally speaking, you can dry corn with the husks on the corn cob!. But to dry sweet corn in its prime, remove the husks!.

American Indians usually made parched corn by peeling the husks back from the cobs and hanging them close to a fire until the kernels were sufficiently dry!.

Today, you can dry sweet corn on the cob and on stalks if you plan to make cornmeal, hominy, or parched corn!. However, to dry sweet corn in its prime, husk it and blanch it before drying!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
