Making good oatmeal...?!
I like oatmeal and it is extremely healthy but everytime I make it it ends up real gooey and plain gross!. I do what the directions say!. What should I do to make it good!?

the trick to making good oatmeal is milk!.!.!. it adds richness and flavor!.
I make mine with milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, brown sugar and a dash of salt!.!.!.!. I make it on the stove on low heat for 15 minutes!.!.!. even on the fast cooking time!.!.!. slowly cooking it makes it plump up and tender and creamy!.!.!.
I have never had complaints!.!.!. just make sure to stir every now and then!.

I make mine in the microwave - I take 1/2 cup of quick oats, mix in 3 heaping teaspoons of cinnamon sugar and 1 cup of milk!. Stir well and microwave on high for 4 1/2 minutes!. Stir and eat!. Sometimes I will mix in Craisins or raisins before cooking or blueberries, strawberries or blackberries after cooking!.

Don't use instant or quick oats, use the old-fashioned or rolled oats!. I like the Quaker old-fashioned the best!. Cook with water according to instructions, including the cover and let stand part!. I prefer mine with butter, sugar, cinnamon and half-and half!. How unhealthy can you get!? Yum!Www@FoodAQ@Com
OVER NIGHT OATMEAL
Mix:
1 C oatmeal
1 1/2 C milk
1/2 C apple juice
1/2 -1 C dried fruit
Let sit overnight in fridge!. In morning it only takes a few min to warm!.
