Fideo....spelling might be wrong. it a mexican/spanish dish.!
I know it is made with vermicelli pasta and tomato sauce!. What else is needed to make this dish!. And instuctions on the cooking process please!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Mexican Fideo Recipe
3 tb Of oil
4 Coils of fideo ( coil
-vermicelli) use the ones
-that come in a
Yellow box
2 tb Minced onion
1 Clove garlic, minced
1/2 c Canned tomato sauce
3 c Water
Mexican Fideo Instructions:
salt, pepper Heat oil, add fideo and cook until lightly browned!.
Add onion and cook until tender!.
Add garlic, tomato sauce and water and season to taste with salt and pepper!.
Bring to a boil!.
Lower heat, cover and simmer for 10 minutes!.
Tex-Mex Fideo
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 medium onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
8 ounces vermicelli, broken up (about 2 cups)
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1 (4 ounce) can green chilies, chopped
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
2 cups water
Directions
1In a wide skillet, heat the oil over medium heat!.
2Add onion and cook for 10 min, until quite reduced in size and golden, stirring occasionally!.
3Add the garlic and cook for 1-2 min more!.
4Break the vermicelli into short lengths (2 inches or so) and add them to the skillet as you do!.
5Stir and cook for 3-4 minute They will turn opaque and then begin to brown!.
6Stir them often, and when many of them are brown and the others are opaque, add the salt, pepper, cumin, green chilies, tomato sauce, and water!.
7Bring to a boil over high heat!.
8Cover and reduce heat to low and simmer for about 10 min or until the noodles are tender!.

Somtimes you use chicken bullion for broth!.

Half cup chopped onion
Two cloves minced garlic
One-eighth of a teaspoon ground cumin
One and a half teaspoons salt
One bell pepper, finely chopped
Three to four cups chicken broth
Directions:
Heat oil in a large skillet!. Add fideo and saute, stirring
occasionally, until golden brown!. Add onion and saute two minutes!.
Remove from heat!. In a blender, liquify garlic, cumin and salt!. Return skillet to heat!. Add liquefied mixture and bell
pepper!. Simmer five minutes!. Stir in broth!. Cover and simmer 20
minutes or until fideo is cooked!. Add water, as needed, if sauce
gets too dry!.
Makes four to six servings!.
