If it's runny you are probably using too much water!. I make it just for one and it's 1 cup boiling water with a pinch of salt, add 3/4 cup Quaker minute oatmeal, stir and boil for 1 minute!. Take off heat, cover and let sit for a couple of minutes!. Eat with milk and brown sugar!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Breakfast Porridge
3 cups water
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
2 cups old fashioned oatmeal
2 large eggs
1 cup milk
1/4 cup dark molasses
3 tablespoons maple syrup
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
3/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 tablespoon ground ginger
1/4 pound golden raisins
1/4 cup chopped walnuts
Lightly sweetened whipped cream or vanilla yogurt for accompaniment
1!. Heat water and salt until boiling!. Add oatmeal and cook for 5 minutes!. Cool!.
2!. Combine next 10 ingredients and add to oatmeal!. Pour into a greased 9-inch square baking pan and bake, uncovered, in preheated 350*F (175*C) oven for 2 hours!.

Well, I use Quaker Oats, and I just add a mug full of cold water, and a mug full of milk, and bring it to the boil, stirring continuously, and then turn down to allow it to simmer, stirring regularly, for about 3-4 minutes!.
Then, to make it taste a little bit creamier, and to avoid adding sugar, I just add a spoonful of Natural Greek Yogurt!. This helps to sweeten it, and makes it taste really creamy too!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

The best porridge I made was done in a microwave!. I just made up according to the pack instructions and put in the micro!. It was lovely!.
Just remember to cover the bowl with film - I didn't and was left with a real mess to clean!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

For me I will cook the porridge and if it is runny, I will leave it to aside to cool for a while!. Then it will be better!. If you want it warm then heat it a gain!. Do stir too much!. It will make the porridge wateryWww@FoodAQ@Com
i always use Oats So Simple porridge its very nice and you don't have to do much! you can get then in different flavors! Golden Syrup is the best!Www@FoodAQ@Com
