I got nervous about that all the time!. I am so paranoid about things like leaving the hair straightener on, etc that i always felt wierd leaving the crock pot on!. my friends had to convince me it was ok!. you will be fine!. those things are meant to be left on all day!. and then you get home and wont have to cook :o)Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think it will be okay!. You always want to make sure you have enough liquid and it sounds like you do!. I used to worry about it to and then after using it so many times I don't really worry!. Usually the craock pots have a cook book included, if not, just go to the library!. Many people forget we still have libraries!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It should be ok!.!.!. Ive left my crock pot on for 6 hours on high before and it was ok!.!.!. it only evaporated about half of the water!.!. but on low you should be allright!. though Its always best, in my opinion, to cover foods completely in water, because some of it will evaporate over time!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think it will be fine!. I made a roast in my crock pot one time while I was at work only to get home and ALL of the sauce had boiled over onto my counter and floor!. I heard it was because I used Cream of Mushroom soup, though!.!.!.apparently it's known for that!.!.!.!?!?!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Never have felt that way!. Sounds like dinner will be yummy!. When you get home you could add some 2" pieces of cut up flour tortillas and have dumplings to go with your chicken! They would cook in about 10 minutes if you put the crock on high!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

That is the whole appeal of the crock-pot that you can cook dinner while you are at work and be worry free!. Although, I am skeptical about it too and don't use my crock-pot until I get home, good thing that my husband and I are late eaters!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes it will be fine!. That should be plenty of liquid to keep from burning!. I have worried about leaving my crockpot while at work!.
I don't ever cover my meat with liquid!. If I am cooking a roast I don't put any liquid in at all and it always turns out great!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

it will be fine!. the great thing about crock pots is the temp is low enough there isn't any water evaporation!. i have never had anything dry out in my crock pot while it was cooking!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

it is very important that you cover your food and give it enough water to last the entire day!. I love my crockpot I use it 2-3 times a week/Www@FoodAQ@Com

Depends if that was enough water to cover your chicken!. Meat should be covered with water/liquid in a crockpotWww@FoodAQ@Com

the more water the better, this will keep it from burning!. Yours should be okay!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Crock-pots don't get hot enough to burn!.
I always add 1 cup of water or stock though!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

That's why you use a crock pot, nothing will burn with the liquid and low temp!.! Www@FoodAQ@Com

i have never had anything burn in the crock pot, especially when on low!.!.!.!.!.good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com

you'll be fine, in fact sounds just right!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
