Tandoori chicken (or any other meat) is really easy to make -- it just needs to marinate overnight for best results!. If you're in a hurry, a few hours will do!. Take any decent size pieces of chicken (preferably bone in, thighs and legs work really well) and marinate them in the following marinade:
Plain yogurt (fat free works just as well)
A few spoonfuls on Tandoori masala (powder) -- available at any indian / middle eastern store, and necessary for the red color
And, if you like it spicy, crushed green chilies, ginger, and a little bit of garlic, cilantro, and lime/lemon juice!. Don't add salt -- the tandoori spice already has salt in it!.
Grill at medium to medium low heat until chicken is done and slightly blackened on the edges, or bake at 350-375 until the same!. The grill gives it a nice crust and perfect level of moistness, but an oven works in a pinch!.
Serve with finely sliced onion strands and lemon wedges; garnish with cilantro if you like!.

also --- a great recipe for barbeque sauce for chicken that was given to me by a restaurant is:
1 part kraft bbq sauce
1 part white wine -- cheap is okay
1 part Worcestershire sauce
1 part butter (i only use a spoonful or two, but the chef used a lot more)
Optionally, add salt, pepper, and garlic powder
Mix all of these and simmer for as long as it takes for the sauce to be as thick as you like!.
Grill or bake chicken until done, then dunk / cover in sauce and out back on heat for a minute or so!. Works great with a chicken breast sandwich!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
