I lived in Oregon for 38 yrs!. I worked in the timber industry for 18 yrs!. To me, a lumberjack breakfast consists of a few of the following!. Ham,Steak,Sausage or Bacon!. Eggs of any style!. Biscuits or Toast, and another item that fills the belly is Hash Browns or Fried Potato's!. If you have Gravy on the table, that's a bonus also!. Most Lumberjacks or Logger's don't really drink Orange Juice!. Coffee is the main drink, due to the early hours we have to get up in the morning!. Generally, get up at 2:00 AM, try to eat breakfast, drive to the job site and start working when you can see what your doing!. A good breakfast and lunch is a must due to the amount of calories you burn up during the day!. It was nothing for me to eat 6000-8000 calories a day and still not gain any weight!. A lumberjack breakfast means "hearty" to keep a hard-working man (lumberjack) full until lunch!.

It should consist of a meat (bacon, sausage or ham), a bread product (biscuits and gravy, or pancakes or whole wheat toast), an egg dish (scrambled eggs are easiest to make in large quantities), coffee and orange juice!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
