Well, I love making sugar cookies but I am wayyy lazy when it comes to rolling them out and using cookie cutters!. My favorite shortcut makes them look really special!

First add a few drops of food coloring of your choice!. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on a baking sheet!. Use the bottom of a glass to press the FIRST ball of dough into a cookie shape!. Now that the bottom of the glass has touched the dough it'll be sticky!.

Pour some colored sugar or sprinkles into a little bowl and dip the bottom of the glass into it!. Now, press the next ball of dough and it will be a perfectly-round sugar cookie with sprinkles! Repeat with the dipping and pressing until you're ready to put them in the oven!.

I like to make the sprinkles and dough the same color, or mix and match for holidays (e!.g!. red sugar and green dough for Christmas!)!. It's fun, easy and pretty!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Cut the cookies into an interesting shape, then use a smaller cookie cutter to cut out a "window" in the middle of the cookie!. Place the cookie on a baking sheet, then put some kind of melting candy in the middle!. Try hard candy for a stained glass look, or chocolate candy or candy bars for just plain YUM!! Bake as normal!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Add some lemon/lime flavoring, put a lemonhead candy on top of each cookie and then dust with powdered sugar! Cool and refreshing for summer!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Make the cookie dough and cut cookies in the same shape but in three different sizes!. Then stack them in a wedding cake fashion and decorate them like mini-cakes! Yum!Www@FoodAQ@Com

make different shapes using cookie cutters!!!

or, use icing to make different shapes on them

yummmm sugar cookies ;)Www@FoodAQ@Com

add sprinkles to the batter before you bake themWww@FoodAQ@Com
