Can I make a parchment paper bag (for piping) out of wax paper instead?!

Question: Can I make a parchment paper bag (for piping) out of wax paper instead!?
Answers:
You can, but the grease in most frostings will break down the waxed paper!. I don't think it would work very well for anything except a very small amount of frosting!.

You can buy precut parchment triangles that aren't very expensive at the craft store, or you can buy disposable plastic decorating bags!.!.!.last time I bought some it was about five dollars for a dozen bags!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Probably!. I made a piping bag out of regular white 8 1/2 by 11 paper once because i needed something to do small detailing with on a cake!. You could also use a plastic freeze bag as long as it's new and clean!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Somebody beat me to this answer!. I recently saw someone do this on a TV cooking show!. Just cut the corner off a ziplock bag and use that!. Cut as much or as little of the corner off so the right amount will flow out!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you're just using it to pipe, the easiest would be to use a plastic sandwich bag with one of the corners cut off!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I snip the corner off a plastic bag!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
