Answers:
If it's for baking you can add lemon juice to regular milk(something like a tsp per litre, but check to make sure)!. I suppose you could use skim milk!. However, i don't think this would taste like real buttermilk if you drank it in a glass!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

buttermilk is already very low fat, just because it has butter in the name doesn't mean its fatty

it's actually the watery stuff left over from the butter making process, all the fat goes into the butter, so there is no fat left in the "milk"

take some whipping cream (full fat) and shake it in a container for a long time, you will be left with a glob of butter and a bunch of butter milk - this is the same stuff you can buy in the dairy section of the supermarketWww@FoodAQ@Com

Seeing as the word "butter" is right in the name, good luck with that!. If you have high cholesterol, you probably shouldn't be drinking buttermilk!. If you're using it in a recipe, substitute sour milk instead!. To make sour milk, measure out a cup of milk, and take out a teaspoon!. Add a teaspoon of lemon juice or vinegar!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you are baking, add 1 tablespoon of vinegar or lemon juice to 1 cup of skim milk!. Let it sit for 5 minutes or so!. Since it's skim milk, it won't curdle like whole milk but it has the same effect!. You may be able to find powdered buttermilk in the baking aisle at the grocery store!. This is just for baking though!. It's also available online!. See source!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You might check out the powdered buttermilk product in stores everywhere!. I have never used it since I can get fat free BM in my area!.
