I need quick, easy dinner recipes!!
I recently started a new job, and now I'm at work until 5:30, and my fiance picks me up at the metro at 6!. Ergo, we don't get home until about 6:30!. My fiance is used to eating earlier, as I used to make dinner around 5:30, so lately when he's picked me up and I've asked about dinner, he's said "Oh, we'll just stop at Wendy's" or "Why don't we order pizza!?" I can't eat like that EVERY NIGHT!
So if he doesn't want to wait for me to cook, what can I cook that doesn't take more than 1/2 an hour to prepare AND cook, or (even better) something I could prepare the night before!? We are both open to eating pretty much anything, although he doesn't like some vegetables and fish!. Any suggestions!? A few recipes would be best! :-)Www@FoodAQ@Com

I don't have any specific recipes, however, here are some tips that might help!. First, think about meals you can prep the night before, then just pop in the oven when you get home!. There are all kinds of casseroles and things like that you can make up and just leave in the fridge!. Second, get a vacuum sealer!. This will allow you to cook things in bulk, like taco meat, spaghetti sauce, white rice, chili, etc!.!.!. then freeze it in usable portions!. You just pull it out of the freezer, drop it in some boiling water and heat it up!. The best part is there's no mess to clean up either!. Third, go to foodnetwork!.com and check out some fast recipes!. Rachel Ray does that 30 minute meals show!. I'm sure you can find plenty of quick recipes!. They probably have a section with tips on saving time too!. Last thing, get a crockpot!. Instead of trying to cook real fast, try cooking real slow!. Just load it up and turn it on in the morning then everything will be ready when you get home!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I love dicing up boneless skinless chicken breast and sauting in olive oil and garlic, I love to add veggies but since he doesn't like them you can leave them out!. I also prepare some al dente pasta, drain and add to the chicken when its done, toss and heat through!.
You can also cook up the breast (they take like 10 mintues) and seve over rice
Or make chicken tacos by dicing them, cooking them up and adding in some taco seasoning!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

My favorite easy dinner is pasta salad!. It's so easy and yummy and it's actually healthy too!. You can just cook some of those little twirly pastas, stick them in the fridge and cut up the veggies that your husband likes, and ham and cheese too!. Then you just throw it all in a bowl with some croutons and dressings and maybe a slice of french bread on the side!.!.!.oh, it's so good, and really fast and filling!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Do you own a cockpot by chance!?

I think you can prepare this one in 20 minutes-
Cook boneless skinless chicken breasts in a skillet with a little oil about 4 minutes per side on medium heat!. Add one chopped onion, cook briefly and add 1 cup of chicken broth!. Cook about 3 minutes then add one jar of spaghetti sauce!. Turn heat to low, cover and let simmer until chicken is done, approximately 20 minutes!. Meanwhile, cook some spaghetti following directions on the box!. Drain the pasta and serve the chicken and sauce over the pasta!. Bagged salad and some Italian bread complete the meal!.
If you want to make this the night before, spray a baking dish with release spray (Pam) and cook the pasta al dente!. Add the chicken, pasta and sauce and cover with foil!. Refrigerate!. When you get home from work, put the dish into a cold oven and set it at 350F!. (assuming it's a glass dish) Bake approx 45 minutes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
