Looking for some recipe ideas!
My mom is going to be having a garage sale in a couple of weeks and I'm going to be helping her with the garage sale!.
I'm planning on making some food that we can eat!. We both thought about just grabbing some food at a restaurant but I have acid reflux so sometimes eating out isn't a good idea!.
I'm looking for some simple recipe ideas that are easy to eat and fast!. I have acid reflux so I'm looking for something that is low fat!. The recipe cannot have cheese, tomatoes, peppers, or sour cream in it and it cannot be spicy!.
Does anyone have any simple and easy recipe ideas that are low fat!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Make some wraps!. Tortillas w/lettuce, lunchmeat turkey or ham, whatever veggies you like, mayo or ranch!. Or how about chicken or tuna salad sandwiches w/fruit on the side!? Boil the chicken, and add same ingredients as you would for tuna salad (mayo, mustard, relish, hard-boiled eggs)!. I'm trying to think of picnic type foods since you'll be outside during the sale!. Do you have a slow cooker (crock pot)!? Here's a great recipe from the American Heart Association's cookbook:
CREAMY CHICKEN AND CARROTS
2 boneless skinless chicken breast halves (6 oz each)
1 package (8 oz) fresh baby carrots, cut in half lengthwise
1 can (10 3/4 oz) reduced fat cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
1 can (4 oz) mushroom stems and pieces, drained
Hot cooked rice, optional
Place the chicken in a 1 1/2-quart slow cooker!. Top with carrots, soup and mushrooms!. Cover and cook on high for 4-5 hours, or until chicken juices run clear!. Serve over rice if desired!. Makes 2 servings!. Recipe can be doubled, if necessary!.
You can always add a side salad and breadsticks to round out the meal!.
What I like about using a slow cooker is there's little preparation, and you don't have to babysit the dish!. You can continue to work with your guests/customers and not worry about whether or not your food is getting too hot or cold!. also, this dish smells so good while it is cooking, so it just might keep your customers around longer to continue shopping!
Good luck with the garage sale!Www@FoodAQ@Com
