Answers:
It depends on the type of cake pan you are using!. If you are using an 8 inch round cake pan then 20-23 minutes!. If it's a 9 inch round then around 20 minutes!. If you are using a 9 x 13 inch pan then it's usually about 30 minutes!. If it's a jelly roll pan then it's usually 15-20 minutes!. Again these are just guidelines!. Each oven is different and each cooking time will be different!. The only sure way to know when the cake is done is to test it with a toothpick!. Insert the toothpick into the center of the cake and pull out!. If there is uncooked batter on the toothpick then cook the cake a little longer!. If there is no batter or only small crumbs then your cake is done!. You can also check for doneness if the cake has pulled away from the sides of the pan and if the cake springs back when pressed down lightly in the center of the cake!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Depends on the size and the type of the cake and also the type of oven you are using!. The best way to check if its cooked is to insert a toothpick when the cake looks "cooked" on top, if it comes out clean then that means its cooked if not leave it in a bit longer and keep checking regularly

I wouldn't trust any answer I got here!. It's about the size of the cake, from a mix or from scratch, temprature of the oven and a hundred other variables!. Do you know how to test for "doneness" -- with a toothpick!? Www@FoodAQ@Com

The correct answer is (yes)!. After baking take a tooth pick down the center and if it comes out clean, it's done!. Let cool for 15 to 20 minutes and put your incing on if desired!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
