Question: How to do barbecue sauce!?
i really love barbecue sauce!.!.!.!.!. i don't know how to cook well but im very interest in making it!. Please help!Www@FoodAQ@Com

BBQ SAUCE

2 tbsp!. butter
1 c!. water
1 c!. ketchup
2 tbsp!. vinegar
1 tsp!. salt (optional)
1/4 tsp!. pepper
1/4 c!. onion, finely chopped
2 tbsp!. Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp!. lemon juice
2 tbsp!. brown sugar
1 tsp!. dry mustard powder

Melt butter!. Saute onion until soft!. Add remaining 9 ingredients!. Simmer for 20 minutes!. Makes about 2 cups of BBQ sauce!.

this is actually really good!.
i cooked for me & my sister a couple
of nights ago since my parents were out &
when they came home they tried the sauce with
chicken & they asked me to make some more
for them too!

Easy Barbecue Sauce
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine
1/4 onion, chopped
1/2 cup ketchup
1/2 cup water
3 tablespoons vinegar or lemon juice
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Mix all ingredients in a saucepan!. Let simmer for 5 to 10 minutes!.

I don't have exact measurements for you but here's what I put in mine:
Ketchup (primary ingredient)
yellow mustard, lot's of garlic powder,black pepper, a little brown sugar, little lemon juice, soy sauce and maybe a touch of liquid smoke!.
If you like a sweeter sauce add a little honey or molasses!.
More robust: More garlic and mustard!.
Use your judgement on adding salt!.

BARBECUE SAUCE FOR CHICKEN OR RIBS

1 lg!. onion, chopped
1 lg!. garlic clove, chopped
1/4 lb!. butter
2 oz!. Worcestershire sauce
1 oz!. soy sauce
4 oz!. Heinz or Blue Plate barbecue sauce
Juice of 2 lemons
2 c!. catsup
4 tbsp!. barbecue seasoning
1 tbsp!. salt
2 tbsp!. brown sugar
2 c!. vinegar
1 tsp!. Tabasco sauce
2 c!. water

Place onion, garlic and butter in large saucepan; cook for 15 minutes!. Add remaining ingredients and stir thoroughly!. Continue to stir while cooking on medium heat for 1 minute!. Turn to simmer and let cook for 1/2 hour!. Makes enough for 5-7 chickens!. Yields 2 quarts!.
