Is silken tofu a good substitute for sour cream?!

Question: Is silken tofu a good substitute for sour cream!?
Answers:
Depends upon what you are using the tofu for!. Silken tofu is still kind of thick (and relatively tasteless - it absorbs flavors of other ingredients), so if you are putting sour cream on top of a baked potato, silken tofu to me would not work!. If you are substituting tofu for sour cream in some recipe, it probably would work!. Plain yogurt usually works better in my experience for substituting sour cream!. If you are avoiding "milk" products, Stonyfield and other yogurt manufacturers make a soy yogurt!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes, if you blend it with a bit of salt and lemon juice!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
