I am a former chef and it is an herb from the oregano family, a bit milder and floral than oregano which is actually a wild cousin, it can be used in recipes in place of oregano, and goes well with poultry, pork, fish and stuffings even in salad dressing it is fine!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
