The only why I know how to cook catfish is to deep fry it & I don't want to cook it in all that oil!. We're trying to eat healthier!. Any info would be greatly appreciated! Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Do it in lemon, butter, garlic and olive oil in a cast iron skillet!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Good for you to start eating healthier! Pan frying your Catfish will be wonderful with a small amount of seasonings like Olive Oil, salt, pepper, lemon and some white wine to finish, plus any other special seasonings you like as well!. A heavy bottomed saute pan or frying pan is the trick here and get it very hot to start so your fish won't stick to the pan!. Once you get that sear on your Catfish on side one, you can always turn it down a bit, but not too much!. I think you'll be a big fan of doing your fish this way, it highlights the flavors of the fish without all that breading and deep frying!. I hope this helps you out today! Www@FoodAQ@Com

deep frying isn't going to get the fish any greasier on the inside than pan frying is!. You need the correct temperature of the oil no matter what you do!.

Pan broiling with the cooking spray or veggie oil in a mist bottle is not going to be as satisfying to your family as your deep fried or pan fried fish!.

Eating healthy is a matter of mind!. Most of the nutritionists have come off their old "all fats are bad" attitude of the past 60 years and admit that we all could use more saturated fats in our food plans for less dandruff and healthier hair, less cosmetics creams for itchy rashy skin, and for enough cholesterol for brain power!.

It has taken 60 years for them to come back to the old fashioned idea of natural foods are good for us!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can try to oven fry it!. Batter/flour the fish as you would to fry it, but place it in the oven instead with a small amount of cooking oil!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Catfish is great on the grill!. Brush with butter mixed with a good cajun seasoning!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
