Day 6 chicken in red sauce over penne pasta use leftover chicken half a jar of spegitti sauce!. Day 7 soft shredded pork tacos with any pork left over and some cheese with rice, day 8 have tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches!. day 9 hot dogs with tater tots (freeze the unused buns) day 10 tuna noodle penne pasta with a can of cream of mushroom soup and a can of tuna and 1/4 cup frozzon peas!. day 11 bbq chicken legs back potatoes and can green beans!. Oh ya!. I do that all the time!. What I do is a buy a bunch of stuff in bulk and that usually lasts me like 5-6 months so then all I have to buy the rest of the time is fresh produce!. I usually spend $25-$50 a week on vegetables and fruits, and if I do buy produce in bulk I usually freeze most of it for use on a later date!. The start-up expenses to pre-buying bulk food is a bit more than $100 (i usually spend $300 every 6 months on 6 months worth of bulk food), but you save money in the long run!. After you buy the bulk foods, I bet you could get by on $150-$200 every month (which is $100 every 15 days)!.
also, buy a lot of grains, rice, flour, cornmeal, etc in bulk!. You can buy rice and quinoa and couscous and stuff and store it in the pantry and then if you get hungry and have nothing to cook just heat up some rice and throw some stir-fried veggies over it!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Well, we went through a reeeeealllly rough patch a while ago and after rent I had $88 a week to support a family of 4!! I'd cook up a big pot of rice that would last a few days!. e!.g!. you can then add some rice to some soup to bulk it out a bit!. You can buy one chicken thigh (a cheaper cut) and stirfry it with some carrot, beans, cabbage - whatever's cheap at the moment - and that could last for leftovers the next day!. Rissotto is also good for a filling meal with whatever you have lying around!. Red lentils are great - they're really cheap and cook just as quickly as rice!. You can plonk them in just about anything to get extra protein without altering the flavour too much!. Oats are good because you can make porridge even if you don't have any milk - you can also use them to make biscuits, slices, etc very cheaply!. Potatoes of course are cheap and handy with a lot of different things you can do with them!. Pasta is quick, easy and cheap and can be topped with whatever you have lying around!. If you've got time making your own pizza bases is really easy!. Just use your imagination and think of things you can cook in bulk cheaply so you're not making something new every day!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
It can be done but involves a little work!. My trick is to make a dinner based on what the store has on sale!. I go through the circular every week and see what the store is selling and then I make a list and see what the menu will be like for the week!.
also look in your Sunday newspaper for coupons!. If you know you will use a product in the near future (1-4 months) then clip that coupon!. Keep these coupons with you when shopping since items on sale and the coupons sometimes coincide!. Use 'em to save even more money!.
also add veggies to your list as they are cheaper than meat!. Pasta, chinese noodles, calzones, pizza, enchiladas are just somethings you can make for a lot less $$!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

First of all, no packaged or frozen foods!. Potatoes, rice, and noodles are cheap and filling and you can prepare them lots of different ways!. Cheese, eggs, and milk are cheaper protein than meat!. Whole grain bread is more filling and nutritious than white, just make sure to buy one of the less expensive brands!. Buy fresh fruits and vegetables that are in season, and always be on the lookout for sales!. Cheaper cuts of meat like ground beef and chicken thighs are just as tasty as steak and chicken breasts if you cook them long and slow and add spices!. And if you absolutely have to buy something in a package or can, buy the cheaper brand!. It's usually just as good as the more expensive one!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
It is very possible, in fact that is me and my husbands exact food budget!. $200 for the whole month!. And we eat organic! First we order some specialty things from a local co-op that I helped start in my area!. Then we shop at our local discount surplus store for other things!. For fresh veggies and meat I just wait to buy when its on sale at the local grocery stores, which means only buying things in season!. So many good things are in season right now its also a good idea to freeze or can some of the fresh things to have later in the year when they aer expensive!. Lastly, I usually make a meal plan list for what we will eat!. That way i know what we need to buy and I'm not tempted to buy things that we dont need and waste our food money!.
