I think you may need to go to the store for one item, canned fruit filling!. Hopefully you have something at home along those lines!.

Strudel Dough

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon white sugar
3 eggs, well beaten
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/4 cup water

In a large bowl, sift together all-purpose flour, baking powder and salt!.
Mix sugar, eggs and 2 tablespoons vegetable oil in a small bowl!. Quickly stir into the flour mixture!. Mix in approximately 1/2 the water!. Knead into a soft, pliable dough, using more of the water as necessary!.
Cover dough with a tea towel and allow to sit at least 1 hour while desired filling(any canned fruit) is prepared!. To use, divide into two parts, roll flat on a lightly floured surface and lightly brush with remaining vegetable oil!. Fill and bake in the oven at 350° for 30-45 minutes, or until golden brown!. Baste and brush about 4 times during baking with melted butter/oil!.

Carmel Bars are a fast tried and true recipe that is easy!. We like it because just as you say one almost always has the ingredients in the house!.

Carmel Bars:

4 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 egg beaten

1/2 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup flour
In a saucepan melt brown sugar and butter, remove from heat and add egg & vanilla!. Mix flour and baking powder together & add to mixture!. Pour into a greased 8x8 pan!. Bake 25 minutes at 325 degrees!.

How about some french toast!? It would be best with some cream cheese filling!. And strawberries or peaches or berries but ok without them!.
http://www!.youtube!.com/watch!?v=JIMMJY2gk!.!.!.

1 (8 oz!.) pkg!. cream cheese, softened
1 tsp!. vanilla
1 loaf french bread of big thick bread
4 eggs
1/2 c!. whipping cream
1/2 tsp!. vanilla
1/2 tsp!. nutmeg
1 (12 oz!.) jar apricot preserves or seedless raspberry jam
1/2 c!. orange juice
Beat the cream cheese and vanilla together until fluffy!. Stir in the nuts!. Spread about 1 1/2 tablespoon of the mixture on a slice of bread!. Top with a second piece of bread (like a sandwich)!. Repeat this process 10-12 times until the mixture is all used!.
Beat together the eggs, whipping cream, vanilla and nutmeg!. Dip the "sandwiches" into the egg mixture!. Cook on a lightly greased griddle until golden brown, turn to cook the other side!. Keep the cooked "sandwiches" warm by placing them on a baking sheet in a warm oven!.

Meanwhile, heat together the preserves and orange juice!. To serve, dust the Stuffed French Toast with powdered sugar and drizzle the warm sauce over the top!. Makes 10-12 pieces!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
