What is the name of the dish that is like meat and gravy over toast?!
It is a dinner thing - not a breakfast thing!. I don't know what kind of meat it is, just know that you put it on toast!.!.!. I totally have a taste for it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

My family used any leftover meat or poultry on toast with a gravy!.
CREAMED CHIPPED BEEF ON TOAST
Serves 6 to 8!.
1 1/2 lb!. dried beef, chipped *** (may use leftover roast)
2 tablespoons butter or other fat
3 tablespoons flour
Pepper
1 1/2 cup hot milk
Cover the beef with boiling water for 3 minutes, then drain all water off!.
Heat 1 tablespoon butter and brown beef in it until it is curled!.
Remove meat from pan, putting it in a dish to keep warm and add remaining 1 tablespoon butter to frying pan!. Make a sauce by adding flour, pepper, and milk; stir meat in; add salt if necessary!.

Note: may use left over roast beef in this recipe!.

Ingredients
* 2 cups whole milk
* 2/3 cup chicken stock
* 4 tablespoons margarine
* 1/2 teaspoon salt
* 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
* 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
* 5 cups cooked turkey, deboned and roughly chopped
* 12 slices white bread, toasted
Directions
In a large no-stick skillet, begin heating the milk, margarine and chicken stock over medium heat!.
Whisk in the flour right away, eliminating all lumps, and as it comes to a boil, it should thicken!.
Add the salt and pepper!. (Black pepper is okay as a substitute)!.
As it thickens, toss in the chopped turkey and stir carefully as to not break up the chunks too much!.
If it gets too thick, just add some milk and stir!.
As soon as the mix is thick enough to your liking, it is done!. Turn off the heat and cover until serving!.
Serve over slices of toast or, make up some of your favorite biscuits instead!.
If you have some left-over turkey broth from the day before when the turkey was baked, use that instead of chicken stock!.

In a large nonstick saucepan, heat 1/4 cup of the chicken broth over medium-high heat until it simmers!. Add the celery, onions and bell pepper and cook until the vegetables are tender-crisp, about 4 to 5 minutes!. Reduce heat to low, allowing the mixture to cool slightly!.
In a medium bowl, add the turkey or chicken cubes and flour!. Toss gently until the flour coats the meat!. Add to the vegetables and broth, cooking over low heat for about 5 minutes!. Increase heat to medium high and slowly add the remaining broth, wine, parsley, rosemary and black pepper!. Cook and stir until the sauce thickens slightly!. To serve, spoon 1/4 of the casserole over each piece of toast!.

Its called SOS (sh*t on shingle) - Im guessing cuz it looks like bird sh*t on shingle but it tastes soooo good!. You use dried beef, it comes in a jar!.
