Answers:
Sure in a microwavable bowl that is big enough!. You need a lot of extra water for it to cook correctly!. You might want to break it in half or thirds!. Bring the water to a boil in there, add salt and spoon of oil and noodles, cook on high till it begins to boil then reduce to med and let is cook for 5 to 8 min or till tender(check for tenderness often)!. Be VERY CAREFUL THAT IS AN EASY WAY TO GET BURNED!. THE WHOLE THING WILL BE HOT!!! Move the bowl to the sink & pour the noodles in a strainer n rinse with cool water to stop the cooking!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I am a former chef and do it all the time, just cover the pasta with warm water and cook it for 8-10 minutes depending on how you like your pasta!.
I recently purchased from our Canadian branch of the Home Shopping channel a microwave pasta cooker, it does more than pasta, it steams veg, fish and you can cook long pastas like spaghetti and others, for that with out this device you have to break it, I do rigatoni, fusilli, rotini and macaroni, and drain thethem like regular pasta, and you can add the sauce and continue the process if you wish!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes you can but there is no good reason for doing so unless you have no stove!. You will still cook it the same way!. Bring a large tub of salted water to the boil in the micro wave!. Then add the spaghetti and continue to boil!. As your cooking medium is the water cooking times will be the same as for stove top!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Put the pasta in a microwave safe quart dish!. Fill halfway with water!. Turn on for about 10 mins or so!. Test them to see if theyre done enough for you!. Then drain the water and put whatever sauce or topping you want on them!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
I don't usually like to give short answers but NO!. Dried pasta needs time to absorb the water, which gives it it's consistency,
