Question: Have you ever seen a black person eating raw oysters!?
im black and filipino and i've recently fallen in love with them!. my fathers whos filipino and his side of the family eats them all the time no problem!. But the black side of my family thinks I have lost my mind!. are there other black people that eat them, does it depend on where you were raised!? like if ur black and grew up on the coast is it more common to eat them!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes I have seen it!. Back in Virginia by the coast we used to have cook outs all the time with all types of folk!. The food you eat depends on what your family raised you on and your location, the prominent food source available being more common!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Growing up on the East Coast, I've seen almost every ethnic group eat raw oysters!.!.!.!.I think the concept of eating raw oysters is more foreign to landlocked people!. The key to the great taste of oysters is their freshness, and its more likely you are going to get day or two old oysters if you're in Missouri!. I really don't think race has anything to do with it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

That is funny huh! Hey no bias, just meaning that I never paid attention, but I am sure that there is, just that just by socialization maybe black families do not happen to frequent the oyster bars!.

Yes, my boyfriend's family grew up on the eastern shore of maryland where chesapeake oysters are a staple- we eat them all the time( well- only in the R months, SeptembeR is coming!!) Www@FoodAQ@Com

I have seen an Indian eating a crab which he picked up from the seashore!. He was eating the live crab!. It was horrible to see it!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
