The perfect steak.........?!
I found that if I griddle a thin steak for three and half minutes on each side, then take it off wrap in tin foil and leave it to rest for a further five minutes it cooks it to perfection!. I was recommended to do it this way by a chef Friend, but after the five Min's rest it seems a bit cold to me although cooked just right!. If instead of wrapping it in tin foil could I put it in the oven for five minutes at a really low temperature !? My oven has a "slow cook" cook function!. Will that have the same effect as leaving it to rest as the temp isn't high enough to really cook it anymore but will keep it warm or will it dry it out !?Www@FoodAQ@Com

the resting is essentail as the steak continues cooking in it's residual heat if you find it a little cold just flash it back in the pan for a few secondsWww@FoodAQ@Com
I personally think putting it in a really low oven could work, but it could possibly cause the steak to dry out!. But if the steak is hot enough it should still be at a good temperature once its rested!.
I think you should try it in the oven!.
Great tip for the steak though i will try it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

what Temp are you trying to cook it too and if you are going to use the oven just use it from the start at 275 fer like 10-15 minutesWww@FoodAQ@Com
I think it should be okay, just make sure you wrap it in tin foil in the oven so it won't dry out!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Set your oven to about 70C, that'll keep it warm without cooking it moreWww@FoodAQ@Com
