Answers:
I guess it could be, because it's pure carbs!. But I'll add to what the other poster said--rice is the primary staple for the majority of Asians!. It is eaten with every meal, and is also used to make teas and other types of drinks!. But you have to remember that Asian diets tend to be plant and seafood based, and don't eat as much red meat and/or saturated fats like we do here in America!. So while rice may be a fattening product, I believe it's more what you are eating with the rice that could lead to a few extra pounds, and not the rice itself!. Otherwise, Asians would be known for being overweight!Www@FoodAQ@Com

it has carbs, and technically i guess it would be fattening, but only if you eat too much!. so you can eat rice, just don't over do it!.
and you seem like a healthy weight, you don't need to be worrying about gaining or anything!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Rice is pure carb!. No fat!.

Still, if you eat too much, you'll gain weight!. All the skinny Chinese are skinny because they eat moderately!.

And, yes, I've seen fat Chinese people!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
